Before the coup d'état of LON NOL on 18, March 1970, I was a student.
After March 1970, I participated in the revolutionary movement of the United Front for liberation of Cambodia
I worked in the village Vihear Sambor, Rakapram commune, Tbaung Khmum district, Kompong Cham province. From March 11, 1973, I joined in the Unit for the educational and encouraging movement of khmer Islam people led by Mr. Sos Man, father of Mr. Math Ly. Mr. Sos Man passed away in 1976. After that this unit was under leadership of Mr. Math Ly. I worked as a staff encouraging Islam people in Ponheakrek district since 1973 to 1976. Then I moved to work at the office of this unit located in Angkorchea village, Sralop commune, Tbaung Khmum district. At the mid of 1977, I moved to work in the office of Tbaung Khmum district. After the trouble on May 24, 1978, caused by the troupe of northern and southwestern division, I was forced to join in the army as militant to fight against the northern and southwestern forces and going in the forest. All Cambodian people loving peace and independence, soldiers, staffs, leaders, and I, joined in the revolution; worked very hard by fighting for liberating our country from LON NOL regime and getting victory on 17th,April, 1975.
After April 1975, all the people thought very happy to live in peace and develop our country. But contrary they had been disappointed by the Cultural Revolution working so hard, no religion, no human rights, displaced from this area to another area, inhibited to speak Cham language and forced to eat pork. Day by day, they were accused to be enemies and finally many people were killed including my uncle, my brother in law, my cousins, my relatives and my friends. At that time, I was a staff in the administration office of Tbaung Khmum district, Kompong Cham province, next to Mr. Math Ly as one of the leaders then.
The event of May 1978, made all the country in trouble, especially in the eastern area of Mekong River .All those people were accused to be Vietnams, arrested or called to study and were killed. By this event, along with the leaders as MATH LY, CHEA SIM, HENG SOM RIN, SAR KHENG, others leaders and people, we stood up against POL POT, run into forest, fighting and moving away to Vietnam.
After the 2nd, December 1978 creation of Front for the Solidarity and Salvation of our motherland by the assistance of the Vietnam
Start from scratch in 1979, the leaders and all the survived people were working so hard for the restoration and defense of our country with poor health, separated families, starvation, furor… left by the genocide regime of POL POT, with the assistance of socialist countries and international organizations.
In the State of Cambodia
By the Paris Peace Agreement 23rd October 1991 and after the general election May 1993, I was an official of the cabinet of the Council of Ministers and Adviser to Samdech HUN SEN, Second Prime Ministers of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
After the 2nd general election on 26th July 1998, in the 2nd mandate of the Royal Government, I was nominated as Under Secretary of State at the office of the Council of Ministers.
I had been being Vice President of Cambodia
The 3rd mandate of the National Assembly, from 2003 to 2008, I was as Under Secretary of State at the Office of the Council of Ministers.
Now, the 4th mandate of the National Assembly, from 2008 to 2013, I am still at the Office of the Council of Ministers, as Secretary of State.
